Identity Programs
Beyond the Rainbow Wall:
BTRW is the core group behind Identity. We are a group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Two-Spirit youth and allies (14-20). We meet once a week (Wednesdays 4:00-5:30), and discuss a topic we’re interested in.
This is how we roll.
Fridays - We are open from 3pm-10pm. We have arts and crafts with Angelo from 4pm-6pm and a movie every Friday night starting at 7pm, usually followed by discussion. If you just want to come and hang out that’s cool. There is no pressure to participate. Just relax and get ready for your weekend.
First Friday- Stop by Identity as you explore Binghamton’s First Friday Art Walk! Free Tom’s Coffee, and sweet treats, and Identity youth art on display.
Fantastical Funfest with Food!- Bring your family (in whatever form that takes) and allies to dinner! Identity will provide the food, as well as fun and enlightening family activities. A great chance to help your family find support, information, and have fun together. Family dinners are held on the last Sunday of the month from 4 to 7 pm.
Identity programs are here to meet the needs of LGBTQ youth, so if you have ideas about what you’d like to do, please contact us! And if you are an adult who is interested in serving as a mentor to youth, or helping with special programs, please let us know! Thanks!
