Directory of LGBTQ-Inclusive Services: A guide compiled by our friends at Pride & Joy Families, contains a resource guide of LGBTQ affirming and friendly service providers in Central New York and the Southern Tier. Search for medical providers, counselors and therapists, even camps and churches! The guide covers much of upstate New York and includes many providers in the Southern Tier.
The M4 Project: The M4Project provides a safe and supportive space for young gay, bisexual and transgender men ages 18-30. M4 hosts weekly and monthly activities ranging from discussion groups to large-scale community events. Free, confidential HIV and STD testing is also available on site at regularly scheduled times and by appointment. M4 will connect you to the resources you need, from housing and healthcare to free safer sex supplies including male and female condoms, lube dental dams and more! M4 is located right next door to Identity!
TranSocial is a monthly transgender social support group that meets in Identity's space. Ask us about upcoming meetings!
Pride & Joy Families (The Lesbian and Gay Family Building Project): A Binghamton-based organization dedicated to helping lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) people in upstate NY achieve their goals of building and sustaining healthy families.
PFLAG Binghamton: Binghamton's local chapter of PFLAG, the United States' largest organization for parents, families, friends, and allies united with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.
Binghamton Pride Coalition: An organization of LGBTQ individuals, groups and allies established in 2005. The Coalition works to end oppression based upon sexuality and gender, promotes pride and visibility, and celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer lives, communities, and cultures in the greater Binghamton area. This is the group that puts on the annual Pride events in Binghamton, among other things. Get involved today!
